DDOS mitigation software use case from Pelaton Labs / OPS 5G

David McBride

Team,

Peloton Labs is a participant in the OPS 5G project.  They have developed DDOS mitigation software and they are interested in contributing their mitigation techniques as a use case in an LF project.  They are seeking guidance on which project would be most appropriate for this use case.  I know very little about the software, so far, except that it functions on the data plane and relies on P4.

We discussed this in a staff meeting and the suggestion was made that the LFN Security working group would be a good venue to make this determination.

So, I am soliciting feedback on the following:
  1. Do you agree that the security working group is a good starting point for discussing this project?  If not, please say why and suggest an alternative.
  2. Peloton Labs has offered to provide an overview of their work, probably in December.  Please let me know if you'd be interested in joining this call.
Thank you.

David

Next step:  develop a recommendation for which project(s) would be best to host the technology.

Team,

Just a reminder that we are having the follow up discussion with Peraton on Monday at 10 a.m. Pacific.  This is a follow up to the meeting that we had in December.

You should have the invitation in your inbox.  If not, please let me know.
